With just over three weeks until the regular season kicks off, the Washington Commanders are facing a critical situation regarding star wide receiver Terry McLaurin. Despite being present for meetings and team events, McLaurin has yet to agree on a new contract, leaving him sidelined during practices.
Offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury stepped up to emphasize the urgency of on-field training. He stated, "Time on task together on the grass is really the only way you can continue to build." With the clock ticking, Kingsbury made it clear that the team must come together soon in order to develop their offensive strategy.
In his press conference, Kingsbury expressed concern over the lack of practice time, saying, "I don’t know exactly how much you can get out of that. I think we’re kind of at that point where we need to start getting those guys, when they’re available, out there and jelling to see where we are as an offense." Will McLaurin soon return to the field so the team can start working on their chemistry? Only time will tell, but the pressure is on!
