Just last season, Porsche customer teams clinched the unofficial GT3 World Championship in the Intercontinental GT Challenge and dominated the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, claiming first in all three GTD Pro classifications.

The current GT3 R model, with 106 units delivered to eager teams, has proven its mettle by winning six out of eight races in the challenging Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie. One standout feature of the revised 911 GT3 R is the innovative ventiducts adorning the upper front wheel arches. These louvres enhance aerodynamics, complemented by a refined double wishbone front suspension that mitigates pitch sensitivity, allowing for improved braking performance.

The rear features a swan-neck wing equipped with a four-millimetre Gurney flap, which boosts aerodynamic downforce and fine-tunes balance adjustments. The revamped underbody is fully enclosed and reinforced, enhancing the vehicle's stability during high-speed maneuvers.

Precision Engineering and Customer-Focused Features

With numerous enhancements guided by insights from customer teams, the new GT3 R includes optimised power steering with enhanced cooling, ceramic wheel bearings for superior durability, and an efficient driver air vent system—all contributing to sustained performance during long races.

The integration of advanced features like a Remote Logger Unit allows teams to easily track essential driving data, streamlining operations during pit stops.

A Suite of Options for Competitive Edge

Porsche Motorsport is rolling out several new standard packages for the GT3 R, including sensor systems and refueling detection units, ensuring teams are fully equipped to meet the demands of top-tier racing competitions.

First Competitive Testing Sparks Optimism

The heart of the 911 GT3 R—the 4.2-litre flat-six engine—continues to deliver formidable power with up to 565 PS. As Porsche prepares to offer around 60 update kits for existing models, the optimism surrounding the new generation is palpable, especially after successful testing at high-profile circuits and during competitive conditions.
