During the latest Playdate showcase, Subset Games unveiled their new project, Fulcrum Defender, which takes a bold step away from their previous games. This thrilling experience challenges players to defend against relentless waves of enemies utilizing the quirky crank feature. As players face increasingly complex attack patterns, survival hinges on strategic upgrades and precise aim.

Jay Ma, the primary developer, shared an inspiring backstory: "I initially created Fulcrum Defender as a form of self-therapy while dealing with Long COVID. My goal was to craft a replayable journey that begins slowly but escalates into frantic chaos." His determination has birthed a game that offers both challenge and enjoyment for players.

Fulcrum Defender is just the beginning! Season Two will feature 12 brand-new games, with several already revealed. Among them is Pixel Ghost’s Shadowgate PD, a fresh take on the classic point-and-click adventure that immerses players in a living castle where they must defeat the nefarious Warlock Lord.

Also hitting the console is Taria & Como, a captivating physics-based puzzle platformer depicting the adventures of Taria, a young girl determined to rescue her sister in a world filled with skepticism.
