This prestigious award, championed by the Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC) since 2005 and backed by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA), aims to elevate the next generation of design talent in Hong Kong. Over the years, the DFA HKYDTA has recognized the exceptional talents of over 230 young designers. Winners can receive sponsorships of up to HK$500,000, empowering them to gain invaluable international experience. Who Can Apply?

Are you a young visionary aged 18 to 35, a permanent resident of Hong Kong? If you have relevant design experience or are graduating with a design degree in 2025 from recognized institutions, you could be eligible. However, make sure you have a design-related organization or professional to nominate you!

Judging Excellence

A distinguished panel of local and international experts will evaluate applicants based on their potential contributions to Hong Kong's design landscape, personal aspirations, communication skills, and the creativity showcased in their portfolios.
