His friend and fellow artist Dominic Chow confirmed that Lee had been battling a serious throat condition that ultimately necessitated major surgery.

Lee rose to fame after his standout performance in the 8th New Talent Singing Awards, marking the beginning of a promising career when he officially debuted in 1991 with his album “BLUE.” The lead single, “Blue Sha La La,” not only reached the top of the radio charts for two weeks but also earned him the prestigious “Best Male Singer” award at the Ultimate Song Chart Awards Presentation that same year.

Following the success of “Blue Sha La La,” his hit “A Lingering Love” solidified his status in the industry, achieving gold record status and earning him an invitation to perform at the Tokyo Music Festival, where he charmed audiences with his heartfelt performances.
