BioWare's Anthem Faces its Final Shutdown

BioWare's much-maligned looter shooter, Anthem, is officially on the path to being permanently sidelined. Despite offering striking visuals and juggles as a decent action RPG, the game has been largely viewed as a colossal failure for both its developers and publisher EA. Fans knew the day of closure would eventually come, but EA has now revealed when: Mark your calendars for January 12, 2026!

A Definite Goodbye to Anthem!

In a recent blog post, EA announced the grim fate awaiting Anthem by clarifying that once the servers are turned off, the game will no longer be playable. There won't be an offline mode—a fate that other failed titles like Redfall experienced. Additionally, Anthem will be removed from EA Play on August 15, 2025, leaving fans with precious little time to experience what remains of the game.
