In an awe-inspiring launch, SpaceX successfully sent a cargo ship soaring into the cosmos, delivering a hefty 5,000 pounds (2,270 kilograms) of vital supplies to the International Space Station (ISS) this past Sunday morning (August 24).

A Flawless Take-off!

At precisely 2:45 a.m. EDT (0645 GMT), the robotic Dragon capsule lifted off from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station aboard a Falcon 9 rocket, marking the start of SpaceX’s 33rd mission for NASA's Commercial Resupply Services program, cleverly dubbed CRS-33.

Rocket Returns to Earth!

Roughly 8.5 minutes after launch, the Falcon 9's first-stage booster made a spectacular return, landing safely on the SpaceX drone ship aptly named "A Shortfall of Gravitas" stationed in the Atlantic Ocean. This successful landing made it the seventh mission for this particular rocket booster—an impressive feat for SpaceX.
