In a surprising move that has fans buzzing, 20th Century Studios' leader Steve Asbell announced last year that the studio is set to unleash not one, but TWO new Predator films in 2025. While the first project, Predator: Badlands, directed by Dan Trachtenberg, aims to recapture the magic of the franchise with a live-action format starring Elle Fanning, the second project was kept under wraps until now.

Introducing Predator: Killer of Killers

Now, fans can get excited as the secret animated venture has been officially titled Predator: Killer of Killers. The trailer was unveiled this week, along with the announcement that it will premiere on June 6 on Hulu and Disney+!

The Storyline

The narrative will intertwine the fates of three legendary warriors throughout history: a Viking woman who takes her son on a blood-soaked journey for vengeance; a ninja in feudal Japan who confronts his own Samurai brother in a fierce struggle for supremacy; and a World War II pilot investigating a mysterious alien threat to the Allied forces. Each of these formidable killers will soon find out they are merely prey in the crosshairs of a lethal new opponent—The Ultimate Killer of Killers.

Creative Team Behind the Project

Directed by Trachtenberg in collaboration with Josh Wassung from the animation company The Third Floor, the script is penned by Micho Robert Rutare, based on a compelling story co-created with Trachtenberg. Following the success of Prey, which became a sleeper hit in 2022 and featured Amber Midthunder's portrayal of an 18th-century Comanche warrior facing off against a Predator, Trachtenberg has solidified his role as the visionary behind the Predator franchise.
