FRISCO, Texas – Excitement is building around former Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders as the NFL scouting combine rapidly approaches, but he remains evasive about one crucial detail: whether he will throw during the event in Indianapolis next month.

While attending the prestigious East-West Shrine Bowl, Sanders has chosen not to participate in either the practice sessions or the game. Instead, he was seen standing on the sidelines at the University of North Texas during the West Team's initial practice, observing his fellow prospects showcase their skills.

Despite not taking the field at the Shrine Bowl, Sanders is confident in his abilities and believes he is deserving of being the top selection in the 2025 NFL Draft. "We transformed the program at Jackson State University, and then we did it again at Colorado," Sanders explained. "We achieved everything that many doubted we could. Because of that, I truly believe I'm the most guaranteed risk you can take in this draft."

Engagements with several NFL teams show the seriousness of his candidacy. On Friday, he met with representatives from the Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, and New York Giants – teams holding the top three picks in the upcoming draft. The Titans, who have the coveted number one pick, dedicated a full 45 minutes to their conversation with Sanders.

"I appreciate the opportunity to be upfront with these teams, answering all their questions," Sanders affirmed. "I'm not hiding; I'm here to address anything they want to know."
