In a surprising turn of events, 6-foot-7 center Sedona Prince did not hear her name called during the WNBA draft, despite being projected as a potential late-first-round pick.

This unforeseen outcome stems from a series of serious allegations surrounding Prince. Recently, multiple women have accused her of sexual assault and abuse, making her one of the most scrutinized prospects in the draft.

The tumultuous situation escalated further when a Change.org petition gained traction, with over 200,000 signees demanding her removal from the TCU women’s basketball team.

In a social media response last August, Prince firmly denied the allegations and has not faced any criminal charges. Her attorney, A. Boone Almanza, stated before the draft, "Sedona has not been charged with a crime or found guilty of any wrongdoing. She has, however, been convicted on social media by people attempting to capitalize on their relationship with her for their own gain."

Despite the controversies, including claims by fellow influencer Olivia Stabile that sparked years of tension over incidents during a vacation in Mexico, Prince maintains her innocence. Almanza defended her by clarifying that they were involved in separate accidents during that trip.

Adding to the unsettling narrative, The Washington Post reported on a withdrawn lawsuit alleging that Prince forcibly kissed a woman and made inappropriate advances.

The undrafted status could impact Prince’s future, yet there remains a chance for her to land a training camp contract or pursue opportunities to play overseas. With a college career that faced numerous setbacks due to injuries, Prince, now 24, had a standout final season at TCU. There, she averaged an impressive 17.2 points, 9.4 rebounds, three blocks, and 2.4 assists, helping her team achieve its first Elite Eight appearance.

As the dust settles from the draft, the question remains: what does the future hold for Sedona Prince in the world of professional basketball?
