In a shocking turn of events, a 28-year-old trainee surgeon from Melbourne, Ryan Cho, has been released on bail after facing serious charges of secretly recording over 4,500 videos of medical colleagues in various hospital restrooms. This illicit activity, which reportedly took place across three hospitals since 2021, has sent shockwaves through the Australian medical community.

Cho's shocking case came to light when investigators discovered his mobile phone recording inside a mesh bag in a restroom at Austin Hospital. The police allege that Cho recorded intimate images of at least 460 women without their knowledge and has been hit with approximately 500 charges related to these violations. Despite the gravity of the situation, a judge allowed Cho to return home on bail under strict conditions.

Bail Granted Amid Controversy

Justice James Elliott ruled that Cho would be released to live with his parents, who relocated from Singapore specifically for this occasion. To secure his bail, they were required to put up a hefty 50,000 Australian dollars (about $32,000) as a surety.
