Samsung's Good Lock Gets a Major Overhaul with One UI 7 Launching Globally

Samsung is set to revolutionize the user experience with the much-anticipated update of Good Lock as it prepares to roll out One UI 7 in 2025. Good Lock, a powerful tool for deep customization of One UI, has traditionally been limited to specific regions and was available only through the Galaxy Store. However, an exciting change is on the horizon as the feature is now set to launch globally via the Google Play Store.

A company representative confirmed on a Samsung forum that with this new update, Good Lock will be available in every country. This significant move will simplify download options, allowing users to obtain the app through the Google Play Store in addition to the Galaxy Store.

Starting from One UI 7.0, users can look forward to downloading Good Lock easily, increasing accessibility for millions of Galaxy users who have long demanded broader availability.

But that's not all! Samsung is also redesigning the Good Lock app to enhance usability. The overhaul includes a refined main interface aimed at improving user convenience. Notably, it will introduce a filter feature for specific Good Lock apps and a new “My Page” tab designed for better app management. Samsung also revealed that several Good Lock apps that were previously unavailable will be receiving updates soon after the launch.

Currently, One UI 7, which is based on Android 15, is in beta testing for the Galaxy S24 series and is expected to officially release for the Galaxy S25 series in January. This update signals a commitment from Samsung to continuously innovate and enhance the user experience across its devices.
