This feature allows users to access calls, messages, and vital device information, like battery status, without hassle. However, be warned: Phone Link can be finicky, especially with iOS messages where certain features like group texting are still unsupported.

Addressing User Frustrations!

Microsoft acknowledges user frustrations and aims to resolve one of them: dealing with cumbersome settings. Instead of sifting through endless menus, users can now ask an AI assistant for help. For instance, simply typing 'how to control my PC by voice' can reveal relevant settings. If permitted, the AI can make changes on behalf of the user—a feature that raises eyebrows given the potential for inaccuracies.

Additional enhancements are on the way, including lighting controls and object selection features—but these require new Copilot+ PC hardware. Notepad is also evolving, allowing users to generate text from prompts, straying further from its roots as a simple text editor.
