PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Baltimore Ravens are currently holding off on any decisions regarding kicker Justin Tucker's future with the team while the NFL probes serious allegations of sexual misconduct against him. Ravens president Sashi Brown stated on Sunday that the organization is committed to understanding the facts of the situation before making any determinations.

“We want to ensure we have a solid grasp of all the facts, hear both sides, and let the investigation unfold fully before we decide how to proceed,” Brown told reporters during the NFL’s annual league meeting.

Justin Tucker, a two-time All-Pro and the most accurate kicker in NFL history, faces accusations from 16 massage therapists across eight different spas and wellness centers in Baltimore. These allegations reportedly stem from incidents occurring between 2012 and 2016, covering Tucker’s initial five seasons in the league.

The NFL commenced its investigation last month, interviewing some of the women involved in the claims. This situation echoes the extended probe the league took more than two years ago into the allegations surrounding former Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson, which took five months to resolve.

“We would prefer a quicker resolution, but we also understand the importance of allowing the NFL the time they need to conduct a thorough investigation,” Brown remarked, acknowledging the league’s commitment to handle such sensitive situations diligently.

Tucker has publicly denied the allegations, describing them as “unequivocally false” in a social media statement earlier this year. The accusations suggest inappropriate behaviors that include exposing his genitals and inappropriate contact during massage sessions, which have caused significant disruption to his professional reputation.

Pending the investigation’s outcome, Tucker can still participate in the Ravens' offseason conditioning program set to start on April 21, as well as the team's practices in May and June. Brown emphasized that these activities are governed by the collective bargaining agreement and NFL’s personal conduct policy.

While Tucker’s status with the Ravens is at a standstill, General Manager Eric DeCosta and head coach John Harbaugh have hinted at exploring potential kicker options in the upcoming NFL Draft. Given that Tucker, now 35, experienced his worst season last year—missing 10 kicks—it may prompt the franchise to consider its options even as they await the outcome of the investigation.

Should the Ravens decide to move on from Tucker, they could opt for a post-June 1 cut, allowing them to stagger his $7.5 million dead money across two years while freeing up $4.2 million in salary cap space for the current season. However, for now, the Ravens are respecting the ongoing investigation's integrity by allowing the NFL to lead the way.
