Technical director Tetsuya Sasaki added that Nintendo is committed to providing an equitable experience for all players, regardless of their individual Internet quality. “We recognize that players in superior connectivity conditions may enjoy a better gaming experience,” he remarked. “Still, our goal is to ensure that everyone has a fair playing field, which is crucial in multiplayer scenarios.”

Notably, Nintendo has announced a GameChat "open-access" period, allowing users to utilize this feature without a subscription until March 31, 2026. After this date, a membership will be required to enjoy GameChat services.
