In a thrilling showdown, Nevada has secured the U.S. title in the Little League World Series, triumphing over Connecticut with a solid 4-1 victory, and is now set to face Chinese Taipei in the championship match.

Representing the Mountain region, the Las Vegas team jumped to an early lead when Brooks Fechser walked and was followed by consecutive singles from Cache Malan and Garrett Gallegos. A wild pitch from Connecticut's pitcher Luca Pellegrini allowed Fechser to score, and Grayson Miranda added to the tally with a 2-run single, bringing Nevada ahead 3-0.

Though Connecticut managed to cut down the lead with a run in the first inning, driven in by Jimmy Taxiltaridis' single, Nevada’s Gallegos retaliated in the fourth with a stunning home run, extending their lead to 4-1.

Connecticut clawed back again with another run in the fourth, but Nevada wasn't done yet. In the fifth inning, strong hits and strategic plays led to a significant rally. Dustin Greusel opened with a double, and a subsequent single from Malan allowed him to score. With the bases loaded, Nevada capitalized further by scoring two additional runs, culminating in a commanding 8-2 lead.

In a decisive sixth inning, Nevada's Luke D'Ambrosio retired the Connecticut side swiftly, clinching the U.S. championship and setting the stage for an exhilarating showdown with Chinese Taipei Sunday at 3:30 p.m. ET.

Connecticut will not go home empty-handed; they will vie against Aruba in the consolation game at 10 a.m. ET from Williamsport.
