Nate Diaz is ready to throw down with Conor McGregor once again, and fans are buzzing!

The UFC legend, known for his gritty style and unfiltered personality, shot to fame after shocking the world by defeating McGregor at UFC 196 in 2016. That victory, paired with his unforgettable "I’m not surprised, motherf*ckers" quote, catapulted him into superstardom. The two faced off again just months later, where McGregor secured a narrow victory via majority decision. Now, nearly a decade later, Diaz is eager to settle the score with a trilogy fight.

In a candid interview on Out Cold, Diaz declared, "If I could fight anybody right now, I would fight Conor McGregor. There ain't nobody else to fight, really, right now. I’d love for him to come back and impress everybody first. It would be great to see him back. Everyone’s hating on him, but I want to beat someone on top, and he’s definitely capable of that."

McGregor has been absent from the octagon since his TKO loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. He was set to battle Michael Chandler at UFC 303 last summer but bowed out before the fight.

On the other hand, Diaz hasn't fought in MMA since 2022. After submitting Tony Ferguson in his final UFC bout at UFC 279, he's dipped his toes into boxing, facing off against Jake Paul in a loss earlier this year, followed by a majority decision win over Jorge Masvidal.

But if the highly anticipated McGregor showdown doesn’t materialize, Diaz has his eyes on other potential opponents. "That little Ilia Topuria is doing a great job. He’s a bit small for me, but those two are probably the best fights out there for me right now," he stated.

Diaz is also dreaming big in the boxing world, mentioning potential matchups with boxing superstars like Canelo Alvarez or Terence Crawford. With a fierce determination, he said, "I ain’t asking for much, but when I whoop someone’s ass, I’m coming for the big names too. That's my plan."
