Microsoft is revolutionizing the AI landscape by rolling out new features across Copilot Plus PCs equipped with Intel and AMD processors. Among the standout additions is the highly anticipated Live Captions, which translates audio in real-time to English subtitles from a multitude of languages. This innovative tool aims to enhance accessibility and communication, making it easier for users to follow along in multilingual environments.

The journey of Live Captions began with testing on Intel and AMD devices last December, and it is now part of the latest Windows 11 update. This update is designed to elevate user experience, introducing Cocreator, an AI tool in Paint that can generate images based on user text descriptions and ongoing drawings. Furthermore, users will now have access to an advanced AI image editor and generator embedded within the Photos app, ushering in a new era of creativity.

Previously, these remarkable AI tools were exclusive to Copilot Plus PCs running on Qualcomm chips. In addition to Live Captions, Microsoft has been testing Recall on Intel and AMD devices, an AI feature that captures screenshots of your on-screen activities and allows easy searching through them—though a broader rollout date remains unconfirmed.

Microsoft is also enhancing the Voice Access feature, which empowers users to control their PCs via voice commands. The latest updates will provide Qualcomm-powered Copilot Plus PC users with the ability to issue commands with a more flexible and descriptive language. In a promising move, Microsoft intends to expand these features to Intel and AMD devices in the future, including the capability to translate 27 different languages into Simplified Chinese.

As Microsoft continues to push the boundaries of AI, the anticipation for these features grows. Users can look forward to an enriched experience that includes smarter tools, improved accessibility, and seamless communication across languages. Stay tuned for more updates as Microsoft rolls out its cutting-edge advancements!
