Major Celebrities Confirmed for Berlinale 2025: Will Robert Pattinson and Timothée Chalamet Make an Appearance?
The excitement for the 75th Berlin International Film Festival, known as Berlinale, is already palpable as a star-studded lineup is revealed. Among the confirmed attendees are powerhouse actors Jessica Chastain, Ben Whishaw, Rebecca Hall, Chloë Sevigny, Tilda Swinton, and Marion Cotillard, who are set to grace the festival with their presence during its press conference on Tuesday.
Jessica Chastain is generating buzz as she joins the cast of Michel Franco’s much-anticipated film, Dreams, which is a contender for the prestigious Golden Bear award. Meanwhile, Ben Whishaw and Rebecca Hall will showcase their talents in Peter Hujar's Day, directed by Ira Sachs, which will be featured in the competitive Panorama sidebar.
Chloë Sevigny will also captivate audiences in the Panorama title Magic Farm, conceived by Amalia Ulman. The enchanting Marion Cotillard takes center stage in Lucile Hadzihalilovic’s The Ice Tower, portraying the mysterious star of a production of The Snow Queen who impacts the life of a young runaway.
Among the other notable guests confirmed are Archie Madekwe, who will co-star in Lurker, which has been selected for the Berlinale Special Gala, and Rose Byrne, who leads the cast of If I Had Links I’d Kick You, another contender for the Golden Bear. Lars Eidinger, who is set to feature in the opening film The Light, will also be attending.
The festival organizers have announced that a more comprehensive guest list will be revealed on February 4, and film enthusiasts are eagerly speculating whether big names with films in the selection, such as Ethan Hawke and Margaret Qualley for Blue Moon, Robert Pattinson in Mickey 17, Timothée Chalamet in A Complete Unknown, Emma Mackey and Vicky Krieps in Hot Milk, as well as Jacob Elordi in The Narrow Road to the Deep South, will join their peers in Berlin this February.
