In a dazzling display of offensive prowess, the Detroit Lions crushed the Chicago Bears, amassing over 500 yards in their exhilarating home opener on Sunday.

The standout performances came from the dynamic duo of Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams, whose combined efforts not only led the team to victory but also etched their names in the record books. St. Brown caught nine passes for 115 yards and three touchdowns, while Williams showcased his speed with two receptions for 108 yards and a touchdown.

This explosive performance earned the Lions’ offense an impressive overall grade of 85.2 from Pro Football Focus (PFF), with a staggering 90.9 in receiving, setting a new benchmark for the franchise since PFF began tracking data in 2006.

On the defensive side, safety Brian Branch was a force to be reckoned with, notching the highest defensive grade of 91.4 after tallying six tackles, two tackles for loss, and a crucial sack. Despite a rocky start for the Lions' offensive line in Week 1, which saw them struggle with run blocking, this week’s performance was a breath of fresh air. They improved significantly, allowing only three pressures on quarterback Jared Goff and facilitating a solid running game that averaged 5.9 yards per carry.

With Aidan Hutchinson making his mark after injury with five pressures and a sack, the defensive line showcased remarkable depth, with Al-Quadin Muhammad starting to shine as well.
