Get ready, Nintendo fans! The blockbuster game Red Dead Redemption 2 might just be galloping onto the Nintendo Switch 2 later this year, according to inside sources.

Gaming site Gamereactor reveals that Rockstar has hinted at this exciting news, drawing from multiple tip-offs.

This comes hot on the heels of Take-Two's CEO, Strauss Zelnick, voicing his enthusiasm for Nintendo’s upcoming console during a recent financial meeting.

Zelnick disclosed that Take-Two is preparing an impressive lineup for Switch 2, including Borderlands 4, Sid Meier's Civilization 7, plus the popular NBA 2K and WWE 2K sports titles.

He stated, "This is a bigger array of releases than we've ever offered before with a new Nintendo platform." Such optimism underlines the changing tide for third-party developers on Nintendo systems.

Historically, being a third-party developer for Nintendo has had its challenges, but Zelnick believes the situation is improving as Nintendo becomes more responsive. He affirmed, "We're stepping up too because we have great optimism for the platform."

But what about other titles? Zelnick hinted that while they assess every potential release on an individual basis, not every game will make the jump to every platform. However, the door for classic titles remains open.

Will Red Dead Redemption 2 fit into this strategy as a sought-after classic? Only time will tell!

In related news, speculation about a GTA 4 port for modern consoles has also surfaced, with insider Tez2 suggesting it’s currently undergoing development. Could the Switch 2 be the next candidate for this beloved title?
