Hong Kong's Tech Titans Set to Shine at CES 2025 with Unprecedented Delegation
In an exciting move highlighting the technological prowess of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) plans to present its largest-ever delegation of 45 innovative tech companies at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025. This prestigious event will take place from January 7 to 10, 2025, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, where Hong Kong's brightest startups will showcase cutting-edge solutions aimed at tackling global challenges.
The participation of these pioneering firms marks a significant step in HKSTP's initiative to foster international networking opportunities and enhance the global presence of local tech companies. This year’s delegation will be prominently featured at the Hong Kong Tech Pavilion, which will straddle two key areas: Eureka Park and Global Pavilion. Covering five major industry fields, including advanced electronics, green technology, and life sciences, the event aims to attract attention from industry leaders, venture capitalists, and research institutions.
Notably, three of the participating companies gained recognition as CES Innovation Award 2025 Honorees, acknowledging their exceptional design and engineering in technology development. Among these, Full Nature Farms received accolades for its innovative Rocket 2.0 smart irrigation system in the Sustainability & Energy/Power category, while Vidi Labs was celebrated for its AI wearable Seekr, specially designed for enhancing accessibility for visually impaired and elderly users. Additionally, Vista InnoTech's launch of a remarkable 3-axis Micro Gimbal Stabiliser cemented its victory in the Imaging category.
Derek Chim, Head of Startup Ecosystem and Development at HKSTP, expressed his enthusiasm about showcasing promising startups and their groundbreaking technologies. He stated, "Our mission is to provide these innovative firms with the resources they need to establish a robust presence on the global stage. Last year at CES 2024, we welcomed over 6,000 visitors and generated numerous business leads, demonstrating Hong Kong's potential in nurturing a vibrant innovation and technology ecosystem."
This delegation's participation is part of the broader Global Booster Programme, which recently launched its second cohort aimed at empowering startups to engage with the competitive international I&T landscape. Following the success of the first cohort that returned from Silicon Valley with over US$15 million in secured funding, the current programme is set to enhance opportunities for further growth and collaboration.
The Hong Kong Tech Pavilion will be located at Booth No. 63001 in Hall G and Booth No. 50832 in Hall A of the Venetian Expo. As the world eagerly anticipates CES 2025, Hong Kong's technology scene is poised to leave a remarkable impression, showcasing its innovation and entrepreneurial spirit that could redefine future global standards.
With this significant participation, Hong Kong reaffirms its commitment to driving technological advancements and fostering a robust startup ecosystem. Stay tuned for what promises to be a thrilling showcase of creativity and innovation at CES 2025!
