Hong Kong’s Fashion InStyle Show: A Global Showcase of Innovation and Sustainability
Hong Kong is set to cement its position as a pivotal hub in the global fashion landscape with the upcoming Fashion InStyle trade show, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC). Scheduled for April 27 to 30 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, this event is expected to draw nearly 400 international exhibitors from various sectors of the fashion industry, providing a comprehensive one-stop sourcing platform for materials, textiles, fashion technology, and sustainable solutions.
Unveiling NEXT@Fashion InStyle: The Future of Fashion Materials
This year’s edition will introduce a new zone, NEXT@Fashion InStyle, which promises to be a groundbreaking initiative that highlights innovative materials that are transforming the fashion industry. Funded by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA), this space will feature over 60 next-generation material suppliers and an array of dynamic events, including fashion shows and industry panels designed to foster connectivity and creativity.
Within this exciting new exhibition zone, attendees will witness how cutting-edge materials focus on sustainability, performance, and design. Renowned designer Han Chong, founder of Self-Portrait, has been appointed as ambassador for the initiative, working alongside five visionary local designers to demonstrate the awe-inspiring potential of these new materials, from biodegradable options to upcycling techniques.
Spotlight on Thai Innovation
Adding to the global flavor of the event, Thailand is serving as the strategic partner for NEXT@Fashion InStyle, supported by the Thailand Creative Culture Agency (THACCA) and the National Soft Power Development Committee. Nearly 30 Thai exhibitors will showcase their unique fashion materials, drawing inspiration from the country’s rich cultural heritage, innovative technologies, and commitment to sustainability.
Fashion shows throughout the event will spotlight these Thai designs, bringing the materials to vibrant life for attendees to appreciate.
The Future is Hybrid: Experience EXHIBITION+
Fashion InStyle is embracing a hybrid model dubbed “EXHIBITION+”, blending online and in-person experiences. This innovative platform allows buyers to explore products not only during the physical fair but also through the Click2Match smart business-matching platform and the HKTDC sourcing website. Attendees can utilize the HKTDC Marketplace App’s "Scan2Match" feature to connect with exhibitors via QR codes, ensuring efficient follow-up discussions both during and after the event.
More Than Just Fashion: Synergies with Related Events
Concurrent events such as the Home InStyle show and The Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair will run within the same venue, further enriching the experience for visitors and creating cross-industry collaboration opportunities. These adjoining fairs promise to generate a rich tapestry of synergy, enabling attendees to expand their network and explore a broader spectrum of creative solutions.
As Hong Kong gears up for this vibrant showcase of fashion innovation, the Fashion InStyle show stands as a testament to the city’s role at the forefront of fashion trends, technology, and sustainability on a global scale. Don't miss this opportunity to see the future of fashion unfold!
