Since the aquarium temporarily closed for renovations in December 2024, the sunfish, known for its impressive, lopsided body and characteristic long fins, began to show signs of distress. Hoping to remedy this situation, one staff member suggested that perhaps the sunfish was feeling lonely without its daily crowds of admirers. Although the team was initially skeptical, they took a chance and transformed its environment by adding makeshift 'people'—cardboard cutouts of human faces dressed in aquarium staff uniforms—around the tank.
