"The question was clear: should we invest heavily in a new MMO that might struggle against giants like World of Warcraft, or divert those resources to the sure-fire success of Fallout 5?" Corden explained.

While Project Blackbird was still in its early stages when it got the axe, it was reportedly a sci-fi title that had been in development since 2018 and featured a brand new game engine.
