HONG KONG, April 7, 2025 – The highly anticipated ITE Hong Kong 2025 is set to unfold from June 12 to 15 at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre. This year's event marks the 39th edition of ITE (Leisure) and the 20th edition of ITE MICE. Dubbed a “MEGA EVENT” by the government, it will be the fifth live event held since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, promising an engaging mix of networking, exhibitions, and seminars focused on the future of travel.

With an impressive lineup of 515 exhibitors from 68 countries and regions at last year's ITE2024, a robust 87% of which hailed from outside Hong Kong, the event has become a global hotspot for travel professionals. Notable participation came from around 70 National Tourism Organizations (NTOs), showcasing a wide variety of destinations and products. The largest pavilion was impressively hosted by mainland China, featuring unique designs from various provinces.

ITE2024 attracted 7,023 buyers and trade visitors, with a significant 46% coming from outside Hong Kong, including 30% from mainland China and 16% from other Asian regions. Interestingly, the organizers specially subsidized trade delegations but did not cover all hosting expenses, highlighting the event's focus on fostering international connections.

For those in the Asian travel trade eager to participate, applying for the free Trade Visitor Badge for ITE2025 is now open. Attendees enjoy free admission, including perks like lunch and drink coupons, as well as cloakroom services. To enhance interaction, the event will also feature Seller-Meeting-Buyer sessions for subsidized visitors.

This year's event aims to attract even more mainland Chinese audiences with newly introduced English to Mandarin simultaneous interpretation for its trade seminar series, titled "New / Niche Destinations & Products." Participants can look forward to various sessions, including presentations from NTOs, exhibitor seminars, and forums focusing on sustainability. Key topics will explore green tourism and youth travel trends, reflecting the industry's dynamic evolution.

ITE2025 is set to witness growing enthusiasm from both established and new exhibitors, with the expectation of an increased presence of non-Hong Kong exhibitors. Northeast Asia will be prominently represented by South Korea, featuring two expansive official pavilions from the Korea Tourism Organization and Seoul.

In addition to regional favorites, travelers can explore far-flung and niche destinations, with exhibitors from Europe, Americas, and the Pacific, including countries like Armenia, Canada, and Iceland. Central and Western Asia will showcase offerings from Afghanistan, Iran, and Uzbekistan, while African countries such as Ethiopia and Tanzania will also be highlighted.

The public days at ITE are anticipated to draw around 60,000 premium FIT (free independent travelers) who are keen on planning and booking their next holidays, showcasing the latest travel trends and options available at their fingertips. Last year, approximately 7,000 attendants participated in 80 interactive seminars, further proving the event's pivotal role in shaping the travel industry's future.
