Get ready for your next adventure, as Bhutan Airlines has unveiled plans to inaugurate direct flights linking Hong Kong with Paro, Bhutan's enchanting valley town boasting the country's sole international airport. This highly anticipated route is set to commence on January 27, 2025, making it easier than ever for travelers to explore Bhutan’s breathtaking landscapes and rich cultural heritage without the hassle of layovers.

Previously, those wishing to journey from Hong Kong to Bhutan faced lengthy transfers through cities like Singapore, Kathmandu, Bangkok, or various Indian transit points. However, with this new service, travel times will be slashed dramatically—from the previous eight to nine hours down to a swift three to four-hour direct flight. The schedule will include 16 annual fixed-departure flights tailored to coincide with peak tourist seasons, ensuring that both thrill-seekers and spiritual travelers can make the most of their trips.

Ticket prices are expected to start at around $7,404 for economy class and $9,586 for business class. While Bhutan Airlines will handle this route, the more established Drukair currently has no direct flights scheduled for Hong Kong, leaving Bhutan Airlines as the go-to option for this incredible journey.

Known for its stunning natural beauty, ancient monasteries, and deep-rooted spirituality, Bhutan is a dream destination for many. The kingdom, often regarded as the last Shangri-La, invites travelers to experience its unique way of life, largely untouched by modernity. With this new flight connection, Hong Kong travelers will soon have an unprecedented opportunity to discover the magic of Bhutan with unmatched convenience.
