The highly anticipated Harry Potter TV series on Max has officially unveiled its enchanting cast! Joining the ranks are celebrated actors John Lithgow as the iconic Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as the wise Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as the enigmatic Severus Snape, and Nick Frost donning the beloved role of Rubeus Hagrid.

In addition to these stars, Luke Thallon will step into the shoes of the timid Professor Quirrell, while Paul Whitehouse takes on the role of the ever-grumpy Argus Filch. Notably, Whitehouse brings a unique connection to the franchise as he previously appeared in the original films as Sir Cadogan.

While excitement builds, it’s important to note that the series will not incorporate the prequel 'Fantastic Beasts' storyline, unless referenced in a light-hearted educational context within Hogwarts.

The Casting Call for Young Wizards!

The key roles of Harry, Ron, and Hermione remain to be filled, with casting calls currently seeking young actors aged 9 to 11. Filming is set to begin this summer at Leavesden Studios, just outside London, where scenes for the original film series were also shot.
