HONG KONG — Warner Music Hong Kong has officially appointed Robin Ch’i as the new Managing Director, effective immediately.

This strategic move marks a significant chapter for the music label as it continues to evolve in the competitive landscape of the music industry.

Mr. Ch’i's New Role

In his new position, Mr. Ch’i will report directly to Simon Robson, who leads WMG’s recorded business in the Asia-Pacific region.

His promotion comes on the heels of an impressive 15-year trajectory within Warner Music Group, where he has successfully advanced from A&R Manager to Director of A&R, Brand, and Business.

Mr. Ch’i's vast experience also includes a key role at Warner Chappell Music, highlighting his multifaceted understanding of the industry.

Mr. Ch’i steps into the shoes of Gordon Lee, a respected figure in the organization who has held the managing director position since 2003.

Under Lee's guidance, Warner Music Hong Kong has significantly broadened its reach and made substantial contributions to the careers of various prominent artists, including Janice Vidal and Khalil Fong.

Lee's dedication has not only strengthened the company's presence in the region but also cultivated the careers of newer talents like Dear Jane and Kaho Hung.
