The anticipation builds as the monumental clash between John Cena and Brock Lesnar has been pushed to the fall, rather than occurring at the highly anticipated WWE Clash in Paris later this month.
During a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, renowned wrestling analyst Dave Meltzer revealed that WWE is strategically saving this blockbuster match for September or October. Despite Cena's ongoing storyline that has spotlighted his rivalry with Lesnar, Meltzer expressed surprise at WWE's decision to shift focus to Cena facing Logan Paul in Paris.
Meltzer noted Cena's own comments about his limited schedule, stating, "He mentioned he only had 11 dates left... I don’t know in what universe I would choose Brock Lesnar as an opponent, but I'm not backing down." This shift, however, does not spell the end for the much-anticipated Lesnar showdown; instead, it has simply been delayed.
"Instead of facing Lesnar in Paris, they are setting Cena up against Logan Paul," Meltzer explained, “They’re clearly planning the Lesnar match for later this fall.” With WWE set to unveil this epic collision, fans can look forward to one of the most significant encounters of the year as Cena approaches the conclusion of his farewell tour.
With only a few appearances left on his contract, every match is becoming a must-watch event, and the addition of ‘The Beast Incarnate’ ensures that excitement for this showdown is off the charts.
So, what do you think? Is WWE making the right call by postponing the Cena vs. Lesnar match for a bigger stage later this year, or should it have gone down at Clash in Paris? Let us know your thoughts!
