If you thought you could snooze through Tuesday morning, think again! In a surprising twist, two major Emmy categories will see their nominees revealed early by CBS!
At 7:47 a.m. ET (4:47 a.m. PT), CBS Mornings will broadcast the nominations for Best Reality Competition Series and Best Talk Series—nearly four hours before the official announcement by the Television Academy.
A Change in Tradition
Traditionally, the Emmys nominees were unveiled around 5:35 a.m. PT, allowing stations across the East Coast to include them in their morning news. However, this year's shift has caught everyone off guard!
The official nominees will still be announced by fan-favorites Harvey Guillén and Brenda Song later that morning at 11:30 a.m. ET (8:30 a.m. PT) through the Academy's website and YouTube channel. This year, all eyes will be glued to the nominees with the excitement building!
Save the Date: The 2025 Emmys!
Mark your calendars for September 14, 2025! The Emmys will air live on CBS and stream on Paramount+, with comedian Nate Bargatze taking the reins as host.
Last year, the unexpected happened when The Traitors took the crown from the long-time champ RuPaul's Drag Race in the Best Reality Competition category, while The Daily Show snagged the Best Talk Series award. Hacks claimed Best Comedy Series, Shogun triumphed as Best Drama Series, and Baby Reindeer soared as Best Limited or Anthology Series.
These reveals promise to shake things up once again as we anticipate the latest round of nominations!
