Emma Raducanu is making headlines after expressing her frustration with the electronic line calling system at Wimbledon, following a tense match against Aryna Sabalenka.

During a nail-biting third-round clash, Raducanu challenged a crucial line call that she believed was erroneous. At a critical moment in the match—score at 2-4, 15-0—Sabalenka’s first serve appeared to miss the line, but the call went in her favor, shifting the momentum of the match.

"That call was, like, for sure out," Raducanu said in her post-match interview, clearly upset about the officiating. "It’s disappointing that the calls here can be so wrong, even though most have been okay during the tournament. I’ve encountered several incorrect calls in my other matches as well, so I hope they can address this issue."

Despite her best efforts, Raducanu lost to Sabalenka with a score of 7-6, 6-4, revealing her regret about missed opportunities in the match. "I don’t think I’ve faced a loss like this in a while, where I felt I had chances to win but didn’t capitalize on them. Usually, I’m quite good at converting these situations," she admitted.

Reflecting on her performance, she added, "It’s going to be tough to sleep tonight. I’ll need a few days to process this, but it also fuels my motivation to improve. I want to get back to work and solidify my game so I can trust myself in those big moments."

Looking ahead, Sabalenka will face off against Elise Mertens in the round of 16, as Raducanu's journey at this year’s Wimbledon comes to a close.
