A Thrilling Adventure Turns Sour with Rain!

Dying Light: The Beast, the latest installment in Techland's open-world zombie saga, has players immersed in a captivating experience—until the rain starts pouring. What should be an exhilarating adventure takes a frustrating turn when unexpected weather phenomena wreak havoc on gameplay. But fret not! The developers are already on it, working on a patch to tackle this annoying bug.

From DLC to Standalone Marvel!

Originally envisioned as a massive DLC for Dying Light 2, this game has blossomed into an impressive standalone title. After logging in over 16 thrilling hours, I can confidently say that Dying Light: The Beast could very well become one of my favorites for 2025! With the return of the beloved protagonist Kyle Crane set against the stunning backdrop of the Swiss Alps, Techland has successfully merged horror, parkour, and melee action into a remarkable experience.

A Rainstorm of Troubles!

Picture this: I'm deep into a quest searching for a special gas that attracts terrifying super zombies when the skies open up. "No big deal," I thought, blissfully unaware of the chaos about to ensue. Upon entering a large refinery housing a secret lab, I was shocked to find that rain was pouring in through the building's roof, vastly hindered by the game's outdated lighting tech. The result? A pitch-black screen obscuring my path and making navigation nearly impossible.

The Glitchy Truck Adventures!

After securing a canister of the special gas, I dashed to a nearby truck, only to realize that, despite the sound of rain, the skies had magically cleared. Surfaces appeared wet, but the rain had vanished—an odd glitch that had me questioning the game’s logic. Even worse, my windshield was still drenched! To activate the wipers, I had to run over zombies, which is as bizarre as it sounds. In a moment of desperation, I resorted to driving in reverse to escape the downpour on my windshield.

Techland Promises a Fix!

After combating a boss and returning to a safe zone, I decided to restart the game, which momentarily halted the bizarre rain. Though the crisis was averted, the dread of its return lingers. Thankfully, Techland has acknowledged the issue and is rolling out a patch soon. They stated, "We know you’re encountering problems with Indoor Rain and the Disturbed Day/Night Cycle. Fixing them is our top priority. We’re testing a fix over the weekend, and if all goes well, it will be released immediately for PC players!"

Will We Ever Be Free from the Rain?

Sounds promising, but even with a patch, the fear of the ominous rain resurfaces. Could it return like the notorious rain bugs from older games, like the remastered Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas? The gaming community remains on high alert! Stay tuned for updates as we watch the rain saga unfold.
