Constrained by high enclosing walls, this architectural marvel ingeniously utilizes its central courtyard as the primary light source for surrounding rooms. The long, narrow design risks leaving many interiors in darkness, but the architectural strategy shifts focus to horizontal layering through the introduction of five courtyards of varying sizes. These spaces invite exploration while fostering visual connections throughout the house, mirroring the dynamic interactions of a multigenerational family.

A Play of Light and Space

Designed to capture the ever-changing natural light, the residence transforms darkness into gradients of gray. Each aspect of the home—its front yard, side yard, terraces, and atriums—serves a distinct purpose in daily life, creating a rich interplay of light and shadow.
