In a shocking incident that turned a celebratory day into a medical emergency, actress Christy Carlson Romano bravely revealed that she was “shot in the eye” during her husband’s birthday celebration.

The former star of Disney’s "Even Stevens" took to Instagram to share the alarming details of the accident.

Romano had arranged a special outing for her husband, treating him to a clay pigeon shooting experience.

However, amid the festivities, a mishap occurred when “another party” at the event “unsafely fired in the wrong direction.”

The actress disclosed in her candid Instagram post that she was hit in five different places, with one pellet striking alarmingly close—less than an inch—from her right eye.

Fortunately, Romano reported that she is now “safe” and capable of “seeing normally.”

She credited her husband for his rapid response, recounting how he “immediately sprung into action, assessed me and rushed me to the hospital.”

“With everything that happened, all I can think about is how grateful I am to be alive,” she shared.

“I love my daughters, husband, family, and friends so much.”
