In a highly anticipated event, Charlie Woods, the talented son of golf icon Tiger Woods, unfortunately did not qualify for the 2025 U.S. Open. He ended his qualifying round with a score of three-over 75 at Wellington National Golf Club, landing him seven strokes below the cut line.

The U.S. Open qualifying format is a two-part challenge, starting with local 18-hole events held at 110 sites, where only the top performers advance to a more demanding 36-hole tournament at one of 13 designated sites.

During his round, Charlie managed to secure just one birdie, but faced setback after setback, accumulating two bogeys and a double bogey. While his 2025 performance wasn’t his best, it showed improvement from last year’s qualification where he shot nine over at The Legacy Golf & Tennis Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

The five coveted spots for advancement were claimed by Arth Sinha, Matthew Marigliano, Tyler Stachkunas, Michael Gligic, and Carson Klawonn, while Giuseppe Puebla and Austin Lemieux were named as the two alternates.

Looking ahead, Bent Tree Country Club in Dallas is set to host one of the final qualifying tournaments on May 19, with other U.S. contests kicking off on June 2. Fans of the Woods family are eager to see how Charlie continues to develop his game in future tournaments!
