The final curtain will fall on September 21 at the infamous Kit Kat Club, previously known as the August Wilson Theatre, moving up its closing date by nearly a month from its original October 19 schedule.

This abrupt change comes as a shock, especially considering the show's triumph in London's West End, where it continues to captivate audiences in its fourth year. Unfortunately, the Broadway version struggled to sell enough tickets to cover its substantial production costs, exacerbated by the expensive reimagining of the theatre into a gritty Weimar-era Berlin nightclub.

Billy Porter's Health Takes a Toll!

Adding to the drama, the production has also lost one of its main stars, Billy Porter. Just last month, he dazzled audiences in the role of Emcee, but Porter has stepped down due to a battle with sepsis. The Tony-winning performer is expected to recover fully, but in the meantime, fans will see Marty Lauter (famed as Marcia Marcia Marcia from 'RuPaul's Drag Race') and David Merino take on the illustrious role for the remaining performances.
