Brandon Aubrey Sets NFL Record with Stunning 65-Yard Field Goal!

2024-09-22

Brandon Aubrey has made a name for himself as the premier long-distance kicker in the NFL, and he just solidified that reputation with a jaw-dropping 65-yard field goal, the second-longest in league history!

Aubrey nailed this incredible kick during the first quarter, marking his 14th consecutive field goal without a miss from beyond 50 yards. The only longer field goal in NFL history was the infamous 66-yarder kicked by Justin Tucker of the Baltimore Ravens against the Detroit Lions in 2021.

Interestingly, Aubrey had already showcased his powerful leg earlier in the preseason, when he successfully kicked a 66-yarder, hinting that this rookie has considerable talent and potential.

During this momentous game, the Ravens found themselves a player short, only fielding nine men for the kick attempt, which consequently brought the Cowboys within striking distance, trailing 7-3 at the time.

Aubrey’s rookie season was nothing short of impressive; with only two missed kicks, he secured a league-leading 36 field goals, earning both Pro Bowl and All-Pro honors, a testament to his outstanding performance. This season has seen him continue his streak, converting all nine field goal attempts thus far.

The Cowboys' offense, however, struggled to advance, managing just 23 yards over seven plays to set up this monumental kick. Can Aubrey maintain his streak? With performances like this, the pressure is on as he aims to break records and lead the Cowboys through the season!

Stay tuned for more updates on this rising star and the excitement of the NFL!
