If you were excited about a more personalized Siri experience, it's time to temper those expectations. Apple has officially announced that you'll have to wait a bit longer!

During today's WWDC 2025 keynote, Craig Federighi, Apple's software engineering chief, revealed that the highly anticipated personalized Siri features are not ready for prime time just yet. He emphasized, "As we've shared, we're continuing our work to deliver the features that make Siri even more personal. This work needed more time to reach our high quality bar, and we look forward to sharing more about it in the coming year."

This means that those hoping to test out the new Siri capabilities in the upcoming iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS 26 developer betas will be out of luck.

Originally teased during WWDC 2024, these Siri enhancements were supposed to roll out in iOS 18.4 a few months ago, but in a surprising twist, Apple announced their delay back in March. The updates promise to create a more intuitive assistant, capable of grasping personal context, being aware of what's happening on-screen, and providing deeper controls tailored to individual apps.

Imagine asking Siri about your mother's flight or lunch plans and getting a personalized response, pulling information directly from your Mail and Messages apps. That future is still on the horizon but will require an iPhone equipped to handle Apple’s Intelligence.

So hold tight, Siri fans! While we wait for these features to be perfected, it looks like the personal touch will remain just out of reach for a little while longer.
