Amazon Prime Video Teams Up with Chase Elliott and Hendrick Motorsports for Exciting New Sponsorship
CONCORD, N.C. – Exciting news has emerged from the NASCAR world as Amazon Prime Video has signed on as the primary sponsor for Chase Elliott and the No. 9 Chevrolet of Hendrick Motorsports through 2027. This partnership, which promises to revamp how fans experience racing, will feature Prime Video as the primary backer for three significant races each year, alongside a full-season associate sponsorship.
Mark your calendars! The newly branded No. 9 Prime Video Chevrolet will make its spectacular debut at Talladega Superspeedway on April 27, 2025, followed by thrilling races at Kansas Speedway on May 11 and the NASCAR All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway on May 18. The livery for the new car was revealed today on social media, igniting excitement among fans.
This partnership is especially noteworthy as Prime Video will coincide its three primary events with its exclusive five-race Cup Series broadcast slate, which kicks off with the much-anticipated Coca-Cola 600 on May 25, 2025. Notably, Prime Video marks a historic step as NASCAR's first fully direct-to-consumer media partner.
Stacey Rosenson, Head of U.S. Sports Marketing at Prime Video, expressed their enthusiasm: "We’re thrilled to work with Hendrick Motorsports and Chase as we begin our NASCAR coverage in 2025. It represents an exciting extension of our new NASCAR relationship. Chase is a wildly popular, championship-winning driver, and we can’t wait to see the No. 9 Prime Video team in action as we approach our streaming debut."
But that’s not all! Prime Video's sponsorship also includes exclusive streaming of practice and qualifying rounds for nearly the entire first half of the Cup series, with exceptions for major events like the DAYTONA 500 and the NASCAR All-Star Race. This means fans in the U.S. will have unparalleled access to watch the action live from anywhere, on a multitude of devices, making NASCAR more accessible than ever.
Rick Hendrick, owner of Hendrick Motorsports, expressed pride in welcoming Prime Video to their team: "They’ve committed to our sport in a big way and are taking an innovative approach to delivering world-class broadcasts and content to our fans. We look forward to building something special together over the next three years."
Chase Elliott, now 29, is no stranger to success on the track. With 19 Cup victories under his belt and being voted as the most popular driver for an impressive seven consecutive years (2018-2024), he’s a fan favorite. Last season marked his eighth playoff berth, building on the legacy that includes his 2020 championship victory.
Elliott shared his enthusiasm about the partnership: "It's great to see Prime Video come into NASCAR and now join us at Hendrick Motorsports and the No. 9 team. They’re leaders in entertainment and technology, and I think that’s a perfect fit on a lot of levels. Seeing a fresh perspective on our sport is cool, and I’m happy to be a part of the effort and have their support."
Get ready, NASCAR fans! This dynamic partnership promises to elevate the racing experience and cater to a new generation of viewers as Prime Video steps into the fast lane. Stay tuned for a thrilling season ahead!
