The City of Toronto has issued a cautionary alert for Centre Island Beach and Sunnyside Beach following alarming water inspections. The latest tests revealed that E. coli counts at Centre Island Beach soared to more than double the city’s safety threshold—clocking in at a staggering 239 per 100 ml of water. Sunnyside Beach didn't fare much better, recording 174 per 100 ml.
