Beware: Measles Exposure in Kingsville!

The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit (WECHU) has raised alarms after identifying a potential measles exposure site at the TMC Urgent Care Walk-In Clinic, located at 273 Main Street East in Kingsville.

On Tuesday, May 6, anyone who was present at the clinic between 9:44 a.m. and 1:38 p.m. is urged to keep a close watch for symptoms of this highly contagious disease.

Know the Symptoms!

Symptoms of measles can manifest as a fever, runny nose, persistent cough, drowsiness, irritability, and red eyes. Be particularly vigilant for the signature red rash, which typically appears on the face 3 to 7 days after initial symptoms.

Worrying Statistics!

As of May, WECHU has reported five confirmed cases of measles this month alone, contributing to a staggering total of 129 cases since the start of the year. This outbreak underscores the importance of vaccinations and public health awareness.
