Uber Unveils Ambitious Robotaxi Deal!

In a groundbreaking announcement, Uber is set to invest a staggering multi-hundred-million dollars into both Nuro and Lucid as part of a colossal robotaxi initiative. This move marks a significant step in Uber's journey towards a future dominated by autonomous rides.

The partnership involves deploying **20,000 or more** robotaxis across the U.S. over the next six years. The vehicles will head out of Lucid’s assembly lines in the form of the luxurious Gravity SUV, enhanced with Nuro's cutting-edge autonomous technology, and will exclusively operate through the Uber app.

"This is a very, very big deal," said Dave Ferguson, co-founder and president of Nuro. He emphasized the scale and importance of this collaboration, calling it the largest partnership deal Uber has ever forged.

Uber's investment will include a reported **$300 million** in Lucid, with the sum for Nuro being "significantly more," according to Ferguson. This strategic investment not only boosts funding but also ensures Uber a seat on Nuro's board of directors.
