In a bold move that has sparked both excitement and confusion, Donald Trump declared that Hollywood icons Mel Gibson, Sylvester Stallone, and Jon Voight should now be addressed as "Mr. Ambassador." This announcement was made during the "Make America Great Again Victory Rally" in Washington, D.C., just one day before Trump was inaugurated as the 47th President of the United States.

During his speech, Trump praised Voight, saying, “He’s a tremendous talent and a great friend” before introducing Stallone and Gibson. He elaborated on their new roles, stating, “I’ve appointed these wonderful individuals as ambassadors to Hollywood, to put it back on track. You must refer to them as ambassadors, 'Mr. Ambassador.'”

Earlier that day, Voight took to the stage with his endorsement of Trump, proclaiming that the incoming president would “make America great again and safe again.” Voight hailed Trump’s electoral victory as “the greatest win of all time,” underscoring his commitment to restoring American values and the flag.

This unexpected appointment was preliminarily hinted at by Trump via his Truth Social platform on January 16. He described Hollywood as a “great but very troubled place” that has suffered economically over the past few years. “They will serve as Special Envoys to bring Hollywood BACK—BIGGER, BETTER, AND STRONGER THAN EVER BEFORE!” Trump stated, indicating his vision of reviving the film industry in line with American interests.

Interestingly, Gibson expressed his surprise at being named an ambassador, stating he was unaware of the role until the announcement was made. “I got the tweet at the same time as all of you and was just as surprised,” he said. Nevertheless, Gibson expressed his eagerness to contribute, humorously inquiring about whether the position comes with an ambassador's residence.

Voight, reflecting on Hollywood's "slow deterioration," stated he was encouraged by Trump's commitment to revitalize the entertainment industry. “Very few films are made here now, but with our new president, I believe we can restore Hollywood to its former glory.”

All three actors have been vocal supporters of Trump in the past. Gibson had been spotted at UFC events showing his respect and admiration for Trump, while Stallone went as far as to call him "the second George Washington." Voight has previously likened Trump to “the greatest president since Abraham Lincoln.”

The rally concluded with Voight leading a prayer for the incoming president, asserting, “We the people never gave up on him. May God bless Donald Trump, and may he be sworn into the White House with the blessings of the Almighty.”

As the country gears up for what many see as a controversial new chapter in American politics, the question on everyone's lips is: will these celebrity ambassadors be able to bring Hollywood back to its prime? Stay tuned for the developments in this unprecedented collaboration between politics and entertainment!
