Tragic Update: Missing Belleville Man Found Dead Near Train Tracks in Brighton

In a heartbreaking turn of events, Belleville police have confirmed that the deceased individual in a sudden death investigation in Brighton is 26-year-old Andrew Robinson, who had been reported missing.

The shocking discovery was made at approximately 4 p.m. on Monday when Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report from CN police regarding a body found near the train tracks close to Ontario Street. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and sadly declared the individual deceased.

Following the discovery, rail services in the vicinity were temporarily halted, and the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario was alerted to the situation.

Authorities revealed that the investigation concerning the circumstances of Andrew Robinson’s death is currently active. A post-mortem examination will be conducted by the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service in Kingston to help ascertain the cause of death.
