In a shocking turn of events, Langley has become the scene of a tragic shooting that claimed a life on Friday night.

Authorities from the RCMP received alarming reports just before 10:30 p.m. regarding the situation at the intersection of 53rd Avenue and 200th Street.

According to Sgt. Zynal Sharoom, "Frontline officers arrived promptly, located the victim, and initiated lifesaving measures." Sadly, despite their quick response, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation led police to another location a few blocks away at the intersection of 53A Avenue and 202nd Street, indicating potential developments in uncovering the motive behind this shocking violence.
