Tragic Homicide in Ottawa’s Chinatown: Community Left Shocked

In a distressing incident that has shaken the Ottawa community, police are currently investigating the homicide of Paul Scott Landymore, a 63-year-old man found fatally injured on Primrose Avenue East near the intersection of Arthur Street in the Chinatown area. Authorities received reports of the situation around 7:20 p.m. on Saturday night and rushed to the scene.

Upon arrival, emergency responders discovered Landymore with life-threatening injuries. Despite immediate efforts, he was transported to a local hospital, where he sadly succumbed to his injuries.

Dan Desnoyers, who has lived in the area for the past five years, stated, “I didn’t see what happened last night, but I did notice three police cars in front of my house. All I saw were flashing lights.” Desnoyers reflected on safety in the neighborhood, noting, “It doesn’t happen that often, but it does happen. It’s a bit of a rough neighborhood sometimes. This is actually the second homicide since we moved here.”
