A heartbreaking incident near Kimberley, British Columbia, has claimed the lives of two hikers, while a third is feared dead after a horrifying fall over Meachen Creek Falls.

On September 1, local authorities received a distress call via GPS SOS after three hikers tragically plunged over the falls. RCMP officers were dispatched to the scene, where they discovered the body of a 68-year-old woman approximately halfway down the steep drop.

Subsequent search efforts led to the recovery of another victim, a 35-year-old woman, whose body was located soon after the initial discovery. Recovery operations are currently ongoing.

However, the fate of a 35-year-old man remains uncertain as he is still unaccounted for. Authorities are working diligently in hopes of locating him, but he is presumed dead.

RCMP stated that there is no indication of foul play associated with these tragic deaths. They expressed their condolences, stating, "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the deceased" as the community grapples with this devastating loss.
