In a shocking turn of events, the vibrant Toronto music scene is mourning the loss of rising star Shakur Clarke-Sargeant, better known as rapper YTN Paco, who was brutally shot and killed in Scarborough late Monday night.

Emergency services rushed to Kingston and Galloway roads around 10:30 p.m. where they found the 23-year-old with serious gunshot wounds. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, Clarke-Sargeant was declared dead at the scene, marking him as the city’s 32nd homicide victim this year.

Authorities have made an arrest in connection to this tragic incident. 21-year-old Jeavon Quashie has been charged with first-degree murder, though it remains to be seen how the case will unfold in court.

Detective Sergeant Phil Campbell hinted at a sinister undertone, stating, "We believe there was planning and deliberation" behind this targeted attack.

However, the investigation is far from over, as police are actively searching for a second suspect described as a Black male in his early 20s, last seen wearing dark clothing.
