A devastating motorcycle accident on the Ingraham Trail, located just north of Yellowknife, has resulted in the tragic loss of a 35-year-old man.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) confirmed the fatality following an incident reported at 6:30 PM on Friday, September 12. Emergency services rushed to the scene near the Prosperous Lake boat launch, where bystanders were heroically performing first aid on the injured rider.

Despite the immediate efforts, the victim was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Unfortunately, the RCMP later announced that he succumbed to his injuries the following day.

For a period, authorities closed the Ingraham Trail while investigators examined the scene. Remarkably, the motorbike was the only vehicle involved in the accident.

As the Coroner's Service steps in, investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding this tragic event. The RCMP extends their heartfelt condolences to the victim's family during this difficult time.
